I was working in the Cats Protection shop on Saturday, thinking over this weeks Illustration Friday topic, when suddenly, the title of a prominently displayed book caught my eye:
"Warning: When I am an old woman I shall wear purple"
And so, upon having a closer look I discovered this poem by Jenny Joseph, which conjured up a lot of wonderful imagery in my head (and from having a quick browse through the other images entered into I.F this week, I see others have been inspired by it too!) So here is my illustration based on it:
The full poem can be read here: http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/warning
This is avesome. I drew an old man too, but he is not so cheerful.
